Expert Seminar on Protection of the Environment in Armed Conflict

The Helsinki Expert Seminar on Protection of the Environment in Armed Conflict is based on the pledge made by the Nordic Governments and respective National Red Cross Societies in the 31^st International Conference of Red Cross and Red Crescents to undertake and support a concerted study on the environmental effects of armed conflicts and to co-ordinate and host a meeting of experts.  The study, facilitated by the Government of Norway, will be presented in the seminar. Interventions from several leading world experts will be heard and discussed upon.
