Pact is hosting a panel discussion on our work around conflict-free mining in Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi. This will detail the work Pact and our partners have done in the region, including an analysis of what has occurred over the past five years in the region around conflict-free mining, what is needed to further expand the conflict-free mining program and help more miners get back to work, plus showcasing Pact’s burgeoning work around critical “non-conflict” issues in the region such as child labor and women’s economic empowerment.
