This panel discussion will focus on how natural resources – including high-value resources like diamonds, ivory and timber – have exacerbated violent conflict and tensions in Central African Republic. The conversation will include a discussion of regional trends and implications as well as how effective natural resource management can support social cohesion and peace at the local and national levels.
