Conflict in the 21st century has multiple dimensions and vanishing boundaries, with countries and regions facing diverse and overlapping forms of fragility, conflict and violence. Development outcomes are most compromised in situations of fragility and conflict: these countries lag in all measures of the millennium development goals. The World Bank Group’s ambitious twin goals of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity cannot move forward without addressing fragility, conflict and violence.

The 2015 World Bank Group Fragility, Conflict and Violence Forum will be held in Washington DC from February 11-13, 2015. The forum is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among practitioners and policy-makers to facilitate a dialogue on how to move the development agenda forward in places where gains are hardest to achieve. This high-profile event will feature prominent thought leaders and highlight innovative work and groundbreaking research by practitioners. The Fragility Forum will also offer a series of learning workshops focused on a wide range of issues pertinent to the FCV agenda. The audience will comprise global practitioners and over 1,000 World Bank Group staff working in the area. A number of the sessions will be live-streamed.  View Event Homepage for forthcoming information on registration.
