The conference is organized by the Centre for Environmental Research and Impact Studies, University of Bucharest, in partnership with Faculty of Geography, Association for Biodiversity Conservation, and Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research, CNCS – UEFISCDI through project number PN-II-RU-TE-2011-3-0285.
The workshop aims to bring together and to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue between scientists, researchers, practitioners and representatives of local authorities on the subject of environmental conflicts.
The workshop provides a forum for presentation of recent results and discussion on environmental conflicts and approaches towards their resolution in spatial planning for sustainable development. An important section of the workshop intends to discuss and present recent results from the national research project Modelling of environmental impact induced by the typologies of incompatible land uses in human settlements, financed by Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research, CNCS – UEFISCDI, project number PN-II-RU-TE-2011-3-0285.
The official language of the manifestation is English.
