Focused on Indonesia’s shifting Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) policy landscape, this webinar will involve a panel of experts discussing how research is influencing policy formulation with respect to P/CVE in Indonesia.

The University of Queensland (UQ) and the University of Indonesia (UI) are delighted to present the first in a regular series of webinars as part of the UQ-UI Bilateral Research Forum.

Focus areas: radicalisation - understanding radicalisation and deradicalisation, and the implications of this research for practical application and policy-making; Gender and peace - the influence of the UN Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS) on gender in Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism in the Indonesian context; and policy formulation - how intellectual currents and research findings on radicalisation and gender have shaped the content and priorities of Indonesia’s draft National Plan of Action (NAP) on Countering Violent Extremism.
