The EcoPeace Annual Conference has taken place every year for close to 20 years. It has generally been held on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan, attracting several hundred participants from both the region and around the world. 

The theme and objective of this year’s conference is the release of an EcoPeace report outlining a proposal for a ‘Green Blue Deal for the Middle East.’ The topic is highly relevant given the adoption by the EU of a European Green Deal and discussions in the US of a Green New Deal.

The conference will span four days and feature a different themed session each day: Investments, Education, Advocacy, and Global Program. Sessions will include regional stakeholders as well as high-level international participants and keynote speakers relevant to the session’s theme. Sessions will be held in person in Israel, Jordan, Palestine (in accordance with COVID-restrictions), and will be streamed online for virtual participation.  All sessions will be 3 hours long and will take place in the afternoon Jerusalem time in order to accommodate broader virtual participation.
