This webinar from the IWRA looks at the gendered aspects of resilience in the water sector. The links between water and women are increasingly well researched, in particular showing the lowered resilience of women and girls due to inadequate sanitation falling harder on women and girls. This is magnified in low-income rural areas where women are often in charge of water collection from distant sources, and where toilets are absent or not private. This webinar looks at the role that women can play in building and strengthening resilience in water management and governance, an issue increasingly important as population growth and climate change put a strain on water resources.
