Managing the environmental aspects of mine action operations is critical to ensure that operations do no harm and positively impact local communities after clearance. Awareness is also increasing that the mine action sector needs to take into account the potential impacts of climate change on operations. This discussion-based session will identify opportunities, challenges, and specific tools for improved integration of environment and climate change into mine action operations.
