Women as Climate Justice Champions: International Women's Day 2020

Mar 8, 2020 | Dining for Women, UNICEF USA, and Women of Peace Corps Legacy
Santa Barbara, USA

Women and girls are the most adversely affected by climate change, yet they are also well-suited to find solutions to prevent further degradation and adapt to the changing environment. Distinguished speakers will discuss how women all over the world are fighting for environmental justice in their own countries and communities.

Special guest will be Linda Eckerbom Cole, Founder and Executive Director of African Women Rising, a nonprofit that works in partnership with community-based groups to improve the lives of women in post-conflict areas of Africa. African Women Rising empowers women after war by providing technical skills and support for success via education, agriculture, and microfinance training.
