Seminar on the Geneva List of Principles on the Protection of Water Infrastructure in Relation to Armed Conflicts

Following the recommendations of the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace, the Geneva Water Hub, a centre of the University of the Geneva, acting as the Secretariat of the Panel, took the lead to draft a List of Principles on the Protection of Water Infrastructure. This set of principles systematizes for the first time the relevant rules of international law protecting water and water-related infrastructure during and after armed conflicts.  The principles compile and synthesize provisions from International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights Law, International Environmental Law and International Water Law. Please join us for a discussion of the advanced version of the principles.
