Launch of the Network of African Women Environmentalists

The Network of African Women Environmentalists (NAWE) will be launched on International Women's Day, by Dr. Juliette Biao, Director, Africa Office, UN Environment on the margins of the 4th UN Environment Assembly.

NAWE is the first ever action learning and innovation driven environmental network led by African women, championed by UN Environment together with collaborating partners – for women, by women and with women. It is a programme developed by Dr. Musonda Mumba, Chief, Terrestrial Ecosystems Unit at UN Environment.
