Climate change does not only mean rising oceans and more extreme weather - it also creates new and never before seen climate-related security risks. What are these risks, and how are they affecting areas that are in violent conflict? Which parts of the globe are the most exposed to these risks? What is being done by international organisations, like the United Nations, to combat these new security risks?

Dr. Malin Mobjörk is a Senior Researcher and Director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute's Climate Change and Risk Programme. Malin’s expertise focuses on the intersection of climate change, security and development and how policy organizations are responding to climate-related security risks.
