Join us for a thought-provoking conversation on competing priorities and emerging conflict in the Arctic. With accelerated climate change and sea ice melt, the Arctic region faces new resource exploitation, shipping routes, and geopolitical shifts. In an open discussion using Chatham House rules, we will explore environmental, social, economic, and political factors and the potential for collaboration and conflict among stakeholders. From indigenous rights to global power dynamics, we'll discuss pathways toward sustainable management and conflict resolution. The conversation will be led by Kristin Weis, Co-Chair of the Climate Change, Disasters, and Resilience Interest Group of the Environmental Peacebuilding Association. The Conversation will take place on 3 May 2024 from 0830 to 0930 East Coast Daylight Savings time/1430 Central European Summer Time.
