Join Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars for the 6th Annual Security Challenges in Latin America Forum on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center, located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20001.

This year’s forum will focus on Environmental Protection: Land Use in the Amazon Basin and Marine Conservation, featuring three panels and a keynote address. Panel 1- Land Use and Illegal Deforestation, Panel 2- Threats to Marine Diversity: Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing, and Panel 3- The Role of Armed Forces and Law Enforcement in Protecting the Environment.

Breakfast and refreshments will be offered during the forum and a reception will follow. You have the option to register for the entire forum or to choose the Keynote Address, Panel 1, Panel 2, and/or Panel 3. Please register for all sessions you will be attending, morning, afternoon, or the reception portion of the event.

Presentations will be in English. Doors open at 8:15 a.m. Seating is first-come, first-served.
