USAID is accepting session abstracts for its 2024 Global Gender Equality Conference. Abstracts will align to three themed tracks and across all USAID sectors. The launch of the abstract submission process will be communicated soon. Information about the proposal submission process will be forthcoming. Submitters are encouraged to use this document to plan for their proposals. Additional information pertaining to abstract reviews, acceptances, and session design resources will be distributed via 2024genderconference@usaid.gov and the event platform during the coming months.

Please note that space at the conference is, in most cases, limited, and attendance at the event is therefore contingent upon abstract acceptance.
The USAID 2024 Global Gender Equality Conference is an opportunity to gather together, build relationships, and foster networks to:
● Share collective knowledge, experience, and evidence to strengthen the Agency’s systems, tools,
and resources;
● Expand gender equality technical expertise;
● Identify and address gender inequalities across strategies and activities; and
● Invest in gender equality and track gender equality results.

The conference is shaped around USAID’s 2023 Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Policy (Gender Equality Policy) and the Agency’s commitment to being a leading investor, partner, and advocate for the achievement of gender equality. The underlying vision for this convening is to bring together Agency gender staff and points of contact, select implementing partners, and external gender experts to build knowledge, momentum, and connectivity in order to advance best practices and strengthen our approaches towards implementation of USAID’s 2023 Gender Equality Policy.
