Following the conclusion of COP28, join us to delve into an aspect that has garnered less attention but holds significant importance—the COP 28 Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery, and Peace. This groundbreaking declaration marks a pivotal moment, calling for a more robust collective effort to enhance climate resilience on a large and urgent scale, particularly in highly vulnerable countries and communities. It specifically addresses those threatened or affected by fragility, conflict, or facing severe humanitarian needs. This declaration possesses the potential to influence the trajectory of initiatives at the crossroads of forests, livelihoods, and peace. In our upcoming Extended Dialogue session, we are excited to collaborate with the Young Professionals Interest Group to amplify the voices of those who will be directly involved in implementing and most affected by the ambitious goals outlined in this declaration. Together, we aim to shed light on the transformative impact this call to action could have on shaping the future of work in these crucial intersections.
