Environmental Peacebuilding Indicator Hackathon

Aug 8, 2023 | Environmental Law Institute and EnPAx M&E Interest Group
online

What indicators can practitioners use to measure progress for projects and programs at the intersection of environment and peace? And how do these indicators relate to specific theories of change?  The Environmental Law Institute and the M&E Interest Group of the Environmental Peacebuilding Association are hosting a hackathon geared toward advancing an understanding of these questions. The event will begin with the introduction of a new framework for categorizing theories of change related to environmental peacebuilding. After this brief presentation, participants will split into groups to brainstorm sample indicators for various theories of change categories (such as those relating to climate security, environmental cooperation for peace, etc.) in collaborative break-out sessions.  Indicators gathered and developed at this event will inform the development of a set of sample indicators intended for practitioners to reference when designing M&E plans for interventions. It will also be posted on the Monitoring & Evaluation subsite of the EnPAx website (https://m-and-e.environmentalpeacebuilding.org).The online hackathon will be held 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. EST on August 8, 2023.  Please register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUvcO2vqzsvHdMmWWqPoLP0uXAp15ZXpRir
