Water is one of the most scarce natural resources and plays an increasingly significant role in social stability, economic development, and the general livelihood of societies. Water: A Driver for Peace and Conflict is a panel discussion centered on the role of water in conflict and peace. Four speakers representing the young environmental peacebuilding community will take part in the panel:

  • Robin Pistorious;
  • Irina Patrahau;
  • Abigail Robinson; and
  • Julianne Schillinger.

Each speaker will have a talk of ten minutes followed by a question, dilemma, or statement from the audience.

This event is a Path to The Hague event in lead-up to the Third International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding, which will be held in June 2024 in The Hague. The Environmental Peacebuilding Association (EnPAx) and Conference partners are working with institutions around threworld to convene a consultative series of events and initiatives—the "Path to The Hague." This process will feature a number of regional, national, and thematic events engaging people from around the world on environmental peacebuilding issues relevant to their communities.
