Since the famines of the 1980s, the Tigray region in Ethiopia has been home to landscape level environmental restoration projects. These nature-based solutions have had a transformative effect on soils, water and vegetation. The Conflict and Environment Observatory (CEOBS) has used remote sensing to examine how the conflict and economic blockade have impacted Tigray’s environmental recovery, and with it the implications for food security and post-conflict recovery. This webinar will explore our findings.
