Does increasing women’s participation in the U.S. military shift military culture? If so, does this support compliance with international conventions such as Women, Peace and Security or International Humanitarian Law?

Join GIWPS to launch an important new report, “Culture, Gender, and Women in the Military: Implications for International Humanitarian Law Compliance,” supported by the Principality of Liechtenstein. Expert panelists will draw from their experiences with the U.S. military to discuss these linkages, offer insights on overcoming barriers to women’s full participation in the U.S. military, and explore avenues for improving culture, conduct, and compliance.
