Join the "Transforming Tragedies: Case Studies of Sustainable Peacebuilding" webinar to learn more about what studies and programming in sustainable peacebuilding can do to help communities end destructive attitudes toward the natural world. In the U.S. we can—and should—learn from other nations and diverse peoples how to work through conflicts without reaching for weapons, how we can heal old wounds of prejudices and oppression, and move forward with a new spirit of cooperation and creativity. In his 2019 book, Learning Life’s Lessons, Timpson connects historical examples that inspire ideas for supporting sustainability— the interconnected health of people, their economies and the natural world.

Dr. William M. Timpson is Emeritus Professor in the School of Education at Colorado State University. He has written or co-authored nineteen books including several that address issues of peace and reconciliation, sustainability and diversity.
