In this sixth edition of the UNESCO RILA Sofa Cafés, Professor Alison Phipps , holder of the UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts (RILA) at the University of Glasgow, will enter into conversation with members of the CUSP network, Chipo Basopo (CHIPAWO), Zaza Muchemwa (LITFest Harare) and Mary B. Setrana (Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana, Legon) to talk about women in conflict transformation.

Culture for Sustainable and Inclusive Peace Network Plus (CUSP N+) draws together non-academic partners in the UK, Ghana, Mexico, Morocco, Palestine and Zimbabwe, who work with people in different artistic and cultural settings. CUSP N+'s focus is to strengthen artistic and cultural institutions in Low-and Middle-Income Countries so that they can become a reference point for the identification and transformation of social conflict whilst ensuring equal participation of women and girls in this process.

The UNESCO RILA Sofa Cafés are a series of discussions around topics that touch on integration through languages and the arts. These informal discussions will be held on Zoom (link supplied in the confirmation email). Audience members are being encouraged to join in and ask their own questions to the panellists.
