As part of PeaceCon 2020, the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform and Environmental Peacebuilding Association are partnering to facilitate a global conversation along the Road to Geneva. Recognizing that conceptions and practices in environmental peacebuilding are largely intertwined with the places and norms where they are constructed, this discussion will engage the group in a series of questions about environmental peacebuilding, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the general shifts in the geopolitical landscape with regard to climate change and environmental issues in order to tease out these differences and establish a sense of recognition of that which we have in common, and that which may be different. It builds upon the Road to Geneva’s overall goal to create a truly global exchange on environmental peacebuilding. Join this interactive session to take stock of the current environmental peacebuilding landscape and shape what comes next.
