Climate Change is a health emergency, especially for women and minorities. Studies show that 80 percent of people displaced by climate change around the globe are women and minorities. Not to mention these groups are more likely to experience poverty and have less socioeconomic power, making recovery from extreme weather events more difficult. In addition, different body types breakdown toxins from air and water pollution in a disproportionately to their counterparts. This discussion, led by climate health expert Hanna Lindstadt (just coming off her TEDx Talk on Climate is a Health Emergency), will provide information on how climate change impacts our health and what we can do to ensure we are taking care of our well-being for a healthier future.
