Care is everywhere in environmental peacebuilding- in the relationships that sustain this work, the communities at its center, and the ecosystems it seeks to protect/ restore. Care can also be seen as both an end and a means. Yet care remains undertheorized, undervalued, and unevenly distributed. Who gives it, who receives it, and whose labor goes unseen are questions that run along deeply gendered lines.

The session aims a collective work toward a draft CARE ethic for the environmental peacebuilding community in which the experience of each individual as a member of EnPAx and the specific momentum of the Conference are prioritized.
