Research has the potential to influence policy, through the dissemination of outcomes in international journals. Global South Early Career Scholars produce very few articles in international journals in comparison to other parts of the world. This lack of publications in international journals limits the opportunities for research by Early Career Researchers especially women to influence policy because evidence suggests that research published in international journals is more likely to influence policy. The workshops’ objectives is to equip participants with skills for academic writing, instilling confidence and ability to produce high-quality academic manuscripts for publication in international journals, thus ensuring that the voices of ECR researchers from contexts that are marginalized and invisibilized by research are heard. Co-sponsored by the EnPAx Africa Interest Group.
