Funding Environmental Peacebuilding: What Does it Take?

This proposal is geared towards organising a roundtable gathering a group of funders, both public and private, interested in further developing their funding practices to enable conflict-sensitivity in environmental work and integrated environmental peacebuilding. The methodology would focus on triggering an interactive exchange that promotes an open sharing on challenges, opportunities, and promising new practices and innovations in funding modalities. The roundtable organisation would be co-led by the PeaceNexus Foundation, Jubitz Family Foundation and World Bank. A range of interested contacts in other funding insitutions would be invited. Ideally, a half day closed door session among funders could be held a day prior to the conference, to enable in-depth peer exchange in a safe space.
