This roundtable will introduce the Glossary of Environmental Peacebuilding Terms, a Path to Ottawa Initiative developed through EnPAx with contributions from over 220 individuals worldwide. The session will open with a brief overview of the glossary’s purpose, scope, and collaborative development process, followed by reflections on lessons learned and future directions for this resource. The discussion will feature 4–6 Environmental Peacebuilding Champions (TBD) who have been engaged in the rollout of the glossary and in connecting it to broader communities of practice. They will reflect on why the glossary is essential for fostering coherence and clarity in the field and share their experiences promoting and utilizing this resource across research, policy, and practice. Moderated by Rachel Weaver, who coordinated the glossary initiative, the roundtable will focus on key themes including the challenges and opportunities of developing shared terminology, the glossary’s role in bridging disciplinary and linguistic divides, and strategies for ensuring it remains an accessible and endurable resource. Audience members will be invited to engage with the Champions and discuss how the glossary can support their own work in environmental peacebuilding.
