This hybrid roundtable convened by the EnPAx Young Professionals Interest Group invites youth-led initiative, and all those young-at-heart, to reflect on and challenge prevailing definitions and concepts in environmental peacebuilding. Aligned with the conference’s theme of “Reimaging Environmental Peacebuilding,” the roundtable will explore how young people and intergenerational collaborators are shaping, questioning, and transforming the field in an effort to bring forward creative approaches that are often missing from formal peacebuilding spaces. To frame the roundtable around the question: “What does environmental peacebuilding mean to you,” YPIG will crowdsource answers prior to the event by taking short videos of conference attendees and collecting video submissions through an online platform. The roundtable will open with a series of short presentations aimed at provoking conversations, followed by facilitated small-group conversations (both in-person and online). These breakout discussions will create space for reflection and exchange. The roundtable will close with a full-group synthesis to surface shared themes. The goal of the session is to contribute to a more expansive, grounded, and inclusive understanding of environmental peacebuilding—one that reflects the realities and imaginations of those working at the intersections of environment, justice, and peace across generations. Presenters include: Sophia Haber, seh139@georgetown.edu, United States, YPIG; Robin Fontaine, r.fontaine@sustainablepeace.eu, Monaco, YPIG; Juliane Schillinger, juliane.m.schillinger@gmail.com, Netherlands, YPIG
