The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says it foresees threat to the environment of Liberia if measures are not taken to ensure sustainability of the country's natural resources.
The Focal Person on the Convention on Biological Diversity and Team Leader for the National Biodiversity Coordination at EPA, Jonathan Davis said the manner in which the country's natural resources are being exploited without measures of sustainability could undermine the environment.
He believes that if the trend continues, there will be no natural resources left for future generation.
Mr. Davis said rather than destroying the forest and mineral deposits, policies and actions must be taken to replace those natural resources that are being taken away for the benefit of the country.
