The article considers the main sources of conflict between indigenous communities and business entities in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yurga). Based on individual case studies, it is shown that new actors (such as public associations and nongovernment organizations) are involved in the conflict genesis process. It is necessary to expand social partnerships to resolve existing contradictions. Ethnological expertise plays an important role in resolving these conflicts and contradictions.
